Transcend Credit Union's volunteer Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee is made of members just like you who bring their managerial and financial expertise to the table. Because they are all volunteers, the Board and Committee truly has every member's best interests in mind every step of the way.

Board members are responsible for setting policies, approving budgets, and helping to direct strategic planning. They evaluate operations and maintain financial performance standards for the credit union. They are also responsible for appointing the credit union's President/CEO, who reports directly to the Board.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer to your credit union and would like to be considered by the Volunteer Recruitment Committee, please fill out an application. Upon receipt, your application will be processed and you will be notified as to the action taken.

Requirements for volunteer service:
  1. Must be a member in good standing of the credit union.
  2. Must never have been convicted of a felony involving breach of trust.
  3. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Some of the characteristics we look for in volunteers are: common sense, a caring personality, enthusiasm, forward-thinking, and a willingness to be involved.

Some of the skills we seek in volunteers are: Leadership expertise, general business experience, understanding financial matters, Accounting/Auditing experience, Public Relations experience, and/or miscellaneous qualities including experience in legal/regulatory compliance, technology, marketing/sales, and human resources.
